Adriano Grosoli appointed Knight (Cavaliere) of the Italian Republic

The honorary president of Aceto Balsamico del Duca, Adriano Grosoli, was appointed Knight (Cavaliere) of the Italian Republic by President Sergio Mattarella. The 92-year-old entrepreneur received the prestigious award on June 2, 2021, in Palazzo del Principe Foresto, Prefecture seat, accompanied by his daughter Mariangela, current owner of the company and representative of the fourth generation of the family.

Born in 1929, Adriano Grosoli is the last survivor of the quartet of entrepreneurs who in the 1960s led the passage of balsamic vinegar from domestic cellars to the world of industry, bringing its name to foreign markets through trade fairs in Europe and the United States, with resourcefulness and a pioneering spirit.

“This recognition, one of the highest in the Italian Republic for contributions to production activities – comments Adriano Grosoli – makes me proud because it crowns a life of sacrifice and dedication to the quality of the black gold of Modena”. The appointment as Cavaliere comes in the year in which Aceto Balsamico del Duca celebrates 130 years of activity.
