The Fellini Competition is officially underway!
A new challenge dedicated to the excellence of Italian mixology
On the occasion of “Fuori di Taste 2026”, the Fellini Competition was officially presented in Florence — a new and prestigious contest dedicated to talent, creativity, and innovation in the world of Italian mixology.
The project was created in collaboration with Peppe Doria, renowned bartender from Bologna and creator of the iconic Fellini cocktail, a symbol of style and experimentation in contemporary mixology. An initiative that brings together tradition and modern vision, with the aim of celebrating and promoting the finest professionals in Italian bartending.
A contest celebrating Italy’s top bartenders
The Fellini Competition invites bartenders from across Italy to take part in a unique challenge: to reinterpret the celebrated Fellini cocktail with an original twist, expressing technique, personality, and creative flair.
An opportunity to showcase talent and to promote a culture of mindful, high-quality drinking, deeply rooted in the excellence of premium ingredients.
An immersive experience between tradition and innovation
The creators of the best selected recipes will enjoy an exclusive experience: a day in our Acetaia (lit. Vinegar Cellar), discovering the tradition and production excellence of Aceto Balsamico del Duca.
This will be followed by the official competition final, where the top bartenders will compete for the title before a technical jury chaired by Peppe Doria, a guarantor of quality, creativity, and innovation.
The official press conference
The Fellini Competition was officially launched during a dedicated press conference, where the rules, selection phases, and prizes were unveiled. The event took place on Sunday, February 8th, 2026, at Bar Artemisia, inside the Hotel Savoy, in the heart of Florence. A special occasion that brought together members of the press and industry professionals, marking the official beginning of this new venture.
The Fellini Competition is much more than a contest: it is a dialogue between tradition and experimentation, between Italian excellence and the future of mixology.
