The Digital Environmental Label leverages an element already on labels, the BAR CODE, to hook and extend packaging disposal info. This is now possible thanks to Junker app‘s expertise and unique database that informs about materials and disposal rules for more than 1.8 million consumer products.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Simply read the product’s barcode with the JUNKER app (the most widely used app in Italy for recycling information) to view its environmental label with geolocated disposal info, municipality by municipality.

WHAT DOES IT CONTAIN?

Each digital environmental label contains:

• Packaging components
• Materials of each component
• Abbreviations of the packaging materials with legend
• Geolocalized delivery destination
• Validation by the manufacturer
